Land and Trails

Morse Hill features an extensive trail system! Visitors can enjoy the mixed woods of Morse Hill while passing under beautiful birches, pines, hemlocks, and oaks. In June, the mountain laurel is in bloom all around our main buildings and trails and is spectacular.

Amongst the trees, wildlife abounds. We’ve spotted foxes, deer, moose, bobcats, and a fisher on our campus throughout the seasons. In past years, active fox dens on site have been occupied by a pair of beautiful red foxes. We’ve also seen beaver activity at the stream and have enjoyed watching salamander eggs grow in the vernal pool.

Morse Hill is also a perfect habitat for fungi and lichens, as noted by our resident mycologist Jess!

Did you know that we have cabins, shelters, and a yurt on campus? Check out our facilities page to learn more!
