This camp is an introduction to the activities that are so popular at Morse Hill. Along with the classic activities, campers will have the opportunity for nature exploration, art and connections to science and literature. A time for quiet reading will be offered each day after lunch. Children may visit the stream or the fox dens, play hide and seek under the mountain laurel or hike to the view to look out over the treetops. They will be given the chance to try out many of our low and high ropes adventure elements, canoeing and tree climbing with the guidance of trained and supportive staff. Campers entering 1st-3rd grade may register for this camp.
We recognize that this camp is a popular offering- we know they fill up very quickly, and this can be very frustrating for families. If we can add more spots as we get closer to summer, we will. In addition, please add your child to the waitlist if the session you’d like is full, since we often move kids into spots throughout the summer.
To be most successful during this camp experience, campers should be ready to spend the day away from home and do well with a 5:1 counselor/camper ratio.

Registration:
Our registration system relies on your camper’s age and grade to show available camps. When registering, select the grade your camper will be entering in the fall. Please note that campers must be entering 1st grade in the fall to attend Intro Camp and entering 3rd grade in the fall to attend Day Camp. We realize kids with birthdays between the sign-up date and camp may fall outside of pre-set registration parameters. If this causes difficulty getting registered for camp, please reach out to us for support.
